Sarah Womack

Chief Executive Officer
Sarah Womack started with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina  in September 2022. Sarah joins  the team after 12 years at the Kay Yow Cancer Fund where she learned all aspects of non-profit management with roles in marketing, communications, brand activation,  event management, finance and  operations.  Sarah has a Master’s from NC State University and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Belmont Abbey College, where she played basketball. Sarah and her husband are Lee County natives. Her passions include: Attending St. Francis Anglican Parish, spending time with family (four-legged family included), running, and swimming.

Brandon Kivett

Chief Operations Officer
Alumni of the Sanford Clubs at Jonesboro School, and later O.T. Sloan Park Club, Brandon first joined the B&GC as a Junior staff in 2001 and worked for the Lee County Clubs for the next five years. After six years working for the Moore County clubs and two years in the private sector, he returned to Lee County as the O.T. Sloan Park Unit Director in November 2014. Having worked almost every position at the Club, Brandon understands the teamwork required to provide today’s youth with the tools needed to take the next step in life.

Tonya Newell

Director of Administration
Tonya started her B&GC career in August 1997, when she served as an intern in the Sanford Clubs and began working for the organization in December of the same year. Through the years she has worked in many different positions including art director, education director, health and life skills director, unit director, director of operations and grant coordinator and has served as the director of administration for the past 12 years. Her degrees in human services and biblical studies reflect her passions: God, family, church and the children in our communities.

Candace Onyebueke

Director of Outcomes and Data Management
Candace joined the team in November 2022, bringing extensive background in systems operation and configuration. Candace holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University (Summa Cum Laude). She is a Military spouse and mother to two children. Candace believes that providing a safe space for today’s youth to grow mentally, emotionally, and academically will have the greatest  impact on our future.

Dyan Lofgren

Executive Director, Lillington, NC Club
Dyan Lofgren started her career with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina in
January of 2021. During that time, she worked as a Program Leader with our K-
2nd grade members and in 2022 was promoted to Club Executive Director. Dyan has played a major role in recruiting mentors and volunteers within the Harnett community and is responsible for the daily programming at the Club. Dyan is married and has two children. When she is not busy with Club
activities, you can find her cheering on her beloved Chicago Bears.

Traci Newby

Executive Director, Pittsboro, NC Club
Traci Newby joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina since 2018 and is a Club alumnus. Born and raised in Chatham County, Traci is a product of the Chatham County School system and a 2019 graduate of Arizona State University, with a degree in Family & Human Development. He stands by the statement made by Rita Pierson that “Every child deserves a CHAMPION. An adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be,” and is dedicated to providing that to every club member.

Christina Patterson

Executive Director Sanford, NC Club
Christina Patterson started as the Art Director for the OT Sloan Park Club in 2016. Since May 2021, she has been the Assistant Unit Director for the OT Sloan Park club. Where she helps to lead and bring a creative flare to all events at the club.

In May 2022, Christina graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.  She is married and has 1 son. Her passions include God, art, books, community, family, and helping all children strive to be the best they can possibly be. 

 

Joy Roberts

Executive Director, Siler City, NC Club
Joy Roberts began working for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina, in the Art and Education rooms, in October of 2016. Since then, she has worked on recruiting mentors and volunteers, managed daily programming and ensured national programs run each week. Joy is also responsible for chairing special events that take place in the club such as the annual Thanksgiving dinner and annual science fair, to name a few. She attends Christian Faith Ministries Church in Sanford, where she is a member of the adult flag team and is one of the leaders of the youth flag ministry.

Jaslyn Walker

Director, Central Carolina YouthForce
Jaslyn Walker started her journey with the Boys & Girls Clubs in the spring of 2013. She has served in many areas including volunteer, membership manager, program leader, education director and club director, and has recently taken the role of YouthForce Director. Jaslyn’s focus is to help our youth achieve on-time grade promotion and graduation, secure local job and internship placements for club teens and help our teens explore post-secondary education and/or military service opportunities. Jaslyn has a master’s degree in biblical studies with a minor in Christian counseling. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, reading, and writing.
