LINDA FOUSHEE, AN ADVOCATE OF BGCCC
Meet Linda Foushee, who has served as a Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Carolina for over 20 years! Linda has been a relentless advocate for our Clubs and helped organize our Annual Lee County Golf Tournament and our Clays for Club Kids event. Linda says of her time as a volunteer, “Initially I learned about the Boys & Girls Clubs through networking events and the more I got to know those who served in the Clubs and the Club members the more and more I believed in the mission.” “The Boys & Girls Clubs are an excellent place for our children to learn social skills, how to show empathy, improve their social and emotional health, and just be kids in a safe and warm environment.”
Volunteers like Linda are a critical part of our mission. Volunteers serve in our Clubs daily in various roles, some like Linda help organize and execute our fundraising events while others help our club members with homework or teach healthy eating habits and exercise. We are grateful Linda found a place to serve in our Clubs and we are thrilled to continue to partner with volunteers like her to give the children in our community who need us the most HOPE.
